Does Bond really love Madeleine Swann?

Bond really loves Madeleine Swann. Bond finally sacrificed himself to protect Madeleine and his daughter, which proved his true love. At the beginning of the film, Bond finds himself falling in love with Madeleine Swann (played by Léa Seydoux), whom he met during the events of "Spectre".

Swann said that in order for the two of them to have a common future, Bond needs to let go of his memories of Vesper. So Bond went to Italy to visit Vesper's grave, but was ambushed by Spectre. And during the fight, the SPECTRE thugs hinted that Madeleine had betrayed him - just like Vesper. A wounded Bond dispatches the villain and puts Madeleine on a train, determined to never see her again.

He then travels to a remote island to spend his retirement. The first woman that Bond really fell in love with was Vesper, but Bond always felt guilty for not being able to save her. But Bond was able to let go of Vesper for Madeleine. Bond went to Vespa's grave and burned a piece of paper with "Forgive Me" written on it, which represented farewell.

How did James Bond die?

The film’s villain, Lucifer Safin (played by Rami Malek), kidnaps Madeleine and their children. Safin is mass-producing a bioweapon, a poison that can be programmed into people's specific DNA. If someone comes into contact with someone who has this poison in their body, they will die, while the person with the poison in their body will remain unharmed. He wants to use this poison to target certain people and plunge the world into chaos.

With the help of another agent, Bond takes Madeleine and their daughter off the island. While he was staying to clean up the aftermath, he met Safin, the poison that poisoned Bond. If Bond gets close to Madeleine and their daughter, they will die, meaning Bond can never touch his lover and child again.

Technological genius Q (played by Ben Whishaw) tells Bond that once injected with the toxin, it cannot be removed, but Bond quickly accepts this fate. Bond shoots Safin and then calls Madeleine to say goodbye as he sees the missile approaching the island. And then, boom, Bond was gone.
