It takes about two weeks to germinate and 4-5 years to bear fruit.
Soak the durian seeds in water above 25 degrees Celsius for a day or so, wait until its outer skin cracks, and then take it out to dry. After that, plant it crack-side down in a well-permeable, fertile soil and place it in a semi-shady area. In about two weeks, it will be able to sprout. After it sprouts, it will be able to bear fruit in 4-5 years if it is provided with better growing conditions.
Planting Methods
1, Preparing Potting Soil: To plant a small potted plant, you need to prepare a suitable pot first, as well as some suitable soil. Specifically, the pot should choose a beautiful and breathable, while the soil should choose a better permeability and higher fertility.
2, germination: prepare some durian seeds, wash off the remaining pulp on its surface with water, and then put it into the water above 25 ℃ for about a day. Wait until its outer skin produces cracks, and can see its white inner core, it will be taken out to dry.
3, sowing: fill the pot with soil, and then gently place the seeds on the surface of the soil with the cracks facing down. Cover with a thin layer of soil and moisten the soil with water. Be careful to make sure that the cracks are facing downwards, as this is where its roots will grow from. If it is facing up, then it will most likely not sprout successfully.
4, late maintenance: put it in a semi-shady place after planting. Wait for about two weeks or so, then you will be able to see it sprouting.
