Ilex cornuta leaves are twisted, while Hiragi leaves are obovate to obovate-lanceolate.
Ilex angustifolia, also known as Ilex angustifolia and Ilex microphylla, has golden leaves and pure colors, and keeps golden ornamental effect from April to October every year. The growth rate is slightly faster than that of the local Ilex cornuta, which has no thorns, strong branching, small leaves, red fruit and wide adaptability to the environment.
