Liu Hongchang and He Wenhui are characters from the TV series Home Cooking.
Liu Hongchang is an ordinary chef in a state-run canteen, but he is a delicate, sentimental and responsible man who takes all the responsibilities of his family on his shoulders and gradually supports a family that is already declining with his sincerity and hard work.

Synopsis:
In the 1980s, Liu Hongchang (Huang Zhizhong), an older man working as a chef in a state-run canteen, falls in love with Wenhui (Zuo Xiaoqing), a woman who can't afford to go to college because of the heavy burden on her family, and who has many siblings and a mother who is blind (Yue Hong). Hong Chang's mother (Song Chunli) and elder brother (Bao Dazhi) are against the marriage, but Hong Chang and Wenhui marry in spite of the pressure.
Wen Hui's sister, Wen Yuan (Tong Yao), and her brother, Wen Tao, can't get enough of her brother-in-law, and there is constant friction in their lives. After a short while, Wen Tao due to gambling with his brother-in-law ran away from home, Wen Yuan was trampled by street gangsters big yellow cat, learned the news of Wen Tao killed the big yellow cat, and rushed to stop the news, has been pregnant Wen Hui by the younger brother missed the push, and finally died in the hospital.
