Daughter Red is a traditional famous wine of Han nationality in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. It belongs to yellow rice wine in fermented wine, fermented with glutinous rice and brown sugar, and contains a lot of amino acids needed by human body. People often drink this wine to enhance their resistance in winter when the air in the south of the Yangtze River is humid and cold. It has the effect of keeping fit.

The famous Shaoxing "Huadiao Liquor" is also called "Daughter Liquor". Daughter Red is a kind of glutinous rice wine, which is mainly produced in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China. As early as the Song Dynasty, Shaoxing was a famous wine producing area. Shaoxing people gave birth to daughters at home. When the children were full moon, they would choose wine jars, seal the jars with mud, bury them underground or hide them in the cellar, and take them out to entertain relatives and friends when their daughters got married, hence the name "Daughter Red"!
