Habitat environment of giant crab
Giant Crab is a giant pointed spider crab that lives in the bottom of the deep sea of Japan. The beach and rock bottom of the most commonly inhabited continental shelf and slope have an average depth of 150-300 meters, and generally move around the water depth of 180 meters. During the spawning season, crabs spend most of their time in shallow waters, about 50 meters. In Suruga Bay, the water depth is 300 meters, and the temperature is about 10 degrees Celsius. Young crabs mostly live in shallow areas when the temperature rises.
