How to store cassava for a long time

Many farmers do not store cassava residue, but just pile it outside and simply cover it with film. The cassava residue turns yellow or black (pigment pollution) within a day or two, and often after feeding animals Cause poisoning and frequent illness. However, cassava residue is cheap and comes from a wide range of sources. If it is scientifically fermented with microbial starter, combined with an appropriate amount of protein feed and trace elements, and then used to feed pigs, the cost can be reduced and the economic benefits can be significantly improved. In the past, many farmers often used glucoamylase to ferment cassava residue. Since the glucoamylase strain is single and has low activity, the conversion time is too long, the effect is not obvious, and the cost is high. To process one ton of cassava residue, the cost of glucoamylase is 30~ 60 yuan. Below we explain the following technical methods of using probiotic starter to ferment cassava residue to make biological feed.

Fermentation method:

Raw materials: 1,000 kilograms of cassava residue, 50 kilograms of wheat bran (corn flour or bran, etc.), 2 kilograms of brown sugar. 4 bottles of Yijiayi feed fermentation bacteria liquid.

Operation steps: 1 First, dilute 1 catties of feed fermentation bacteria liquid with 20 kg of water. Then mix it evenly with 50 kilograms of wheat bran, and the humidity is about 50% (the criterion is to grab a handful with your hands, hold it into a lump, and hold it firmly. It will feel wet between your fingers, but there will be no water dripping down).

2 Use about 100 kilograms of water to melt brown sugar (the specific amount of water depends on the dryness and humidity of the cassava residue)

3 Then sprinkle the mixed wheat bran evenly on the 1000 Sprinkle kilograms of bean dregs over and over again, and spray the melted brown sugar water over and over again (if possible, you can use a mixer to stir, and manual mixing is also acceptable).

4. Stir evenly and place it in a sealed container (woven bag, tank, bucket, fermentation tank, etc.), compact and seal for fermentation for 3 to 5 days.

Storage time

The fermented cassava residue can be stored for one year without deterioration if it is well sealed (it is generally recommended to use it within one month). If the sealing is not good during storage, It will cause the alcohol content and acidity to increase. Feeding animals fermented cassava residue with too much alcohol may cause drunkenness. When the acidity of cassava residue is too high, animals will not like to eat it (but you can use 1 to 3% baking soda powder (soda ash) to neutralize, or add 10 grams of saccharin per 100 kilograms).

If it is to be stored for a long time, it must be tightly sealed and compacted to remove as much air as possible from the packaging bag. This will not only enable long-term storage, but also degrade during the storage process. After a longer time, the digestion and absorption rate is better and the nutrition is better. The same principle applies to other solid fermentation residues. Of course, the prerequisite is to ensure strict sealing and no air leakage into the material. The longer the time, the better the quality and the better nutrition (but in actual production, many users cannot Ensure strict sealing, so it is recommended to use it up as soon as possible). We have a user who fermented full-price feed and adopted strict sealing measures. After one year, the feed was in very good condition, with excellent palatability and the acidity did not increase much. This fermented complete feed is used as an additive and mixed into other feeds at 5%. After the animals eat it, the disease resistance and digestion and absorption rate are significantly improved.

The benefits of fermented cassava residue as biological feed:

1. Improve the palatability of the feed, increase the feed intake and speed, and the animals will respond to the microbial protein amino acids, lactic acid bacteria, and yeast in it Just like the ingredients in amino acid oral liquid, yogurt and beer that people drink, they develop a hobby and like to eat;

2. Significantly increase the nutritional content of feed, which can be converted into many necessary nutrients for animals. A nutritionally comprehensive and effective amino acid ingredient;

3. Improve the digestion and absorption utilization rate of feed, improve production performance, contain a variety of beneficial microbial live bacteria, establish a microecological balance in the animal intestines, and the animals' feed nutrition The ingredients are completely absorbed and utilized, which can make the utilization rate of protein, energy and minerals reach 95%, greatly improving the absorption and utilization rate of crude fiber feed, thus reducing feed costs, and long-term use can save 10-25% of feed;

4. Improve immunity, prevent and treat intestinal diseases, establish intestinal microecological balance, inhibit the reproduction of harmful bacteria, and increase the reproduction of beneficial microorganisms;

5. Deodorize and repel flies, and reduce pollution. , control bacterial diseases, can reduce the excretion of nitrogen, phosphorus, and calcium in feces, reduce fecal odor and harmful gas emissions, manifested as the gradual reduction of animal feces odor, reduce the waste of feed protein decomposed into ammonia, thereby reducing environmental pollution ;

6. Improve the quality of meat, eggs and milk, and produce "green meat", "farm eggs" and "anti-antibiotic milk
