How to drink iced wine?
To drink iced wine, we must first distinguish between "fresh thread" and "hanging cup". The so-called fresh line means that when fermented wine such as wine or ice wine is poured into a transparent glass wine glass, you can see a transparent white light floating on the wine surface by holding the lower edge of the glass with your hand and then facing the light. This white light is called fresh line. A bottle of wine that has been opened for more than 1 week or not well preserved after opening will not have this fresh line, which is the basic scheme to judge whether fermented wine is fresh or not. Shake wine or ice wine in the glass to sober up, so that its aroma can be released. In the process of shaking and tilting, there will be some wine attached to the glass and then slowly slide down, which is called hanging the cup. Most of the wines with better quality have a slower hanging speed because of their rich flavor, especially ice wine, so we can compare the hanging speed of a glass of ordinary grape wine with a glass of ice wine. If the hanging speed of this ice wine is faster than that of wine, it may be fake ice wine. In this process, we should pay attention not to hold the glass by hand, but to hold it at the lower edge to avoid the taste deterioration caused by the hot temperature in our hands. The best tasting temperature of ice wine is between 4-6 degrees Celsius. When drinking, just take a small sip in your mouth, rinse it gently, and let the sweetness of ice wine melt in your mouth.
