(1) sow and raise seedlings. Xanthoceras sorbifolia Bunge is propagated mainly by sowing and seedling raising. Before and after the fruit ripens in August, the seeds are nearly spherical and black. Collect the whole fruit 1/3 at the time of fruit cracking, and collect it in 2 ~ 3 times. Dry until the peel cracks, knock out the seeds with a wooden stick, lift them out of the field, and then store them in the shade. 11~ 65438+In February, the seeds were soaked in water for 2 ~ 3 days, mixed with 2 ~ 3 times of wet sand, and buried in the ditch below the frozen soil layer for preservation. In order to prevent the seeds from becoming moldy during sand storage, 80 grams of 50% carbendazim wettable powder can be mixed into each cubic meter of sand. Take it out about 0/5 days before spring sowing to accelerate germination. Rapid germination: soak the seeds in warm water at 45℃ for 2 days, then put them at about 25℃ to accelerate germination, and sow when there are 1/3 cracks. Sowing in high ridges, sowing 1 grain with small row spacing of 20-25 cm and 15 cm, covering soil for 2-3 cm after sowing, and watering. Covered with plastic film for moisturizing and keeping warm. Emerge in 10 ~ 15 days after sowing, and remove the plastic film in time in the evening after emergence. Seedlings grow rapidly in the early stage. 1 year-old seedlings can reach 1 cm in diameter and generally 0.5 ~ 1 m in height. Pruning begins in the second year and can blossom and bear fruit in 3 ~ 4 years.
(2) Cutting seedling. When digging saplings in spring, dig out roots of more than 0.4 cm and cut them into 10 ~ 15 cm. Pay attention to the polarity of roots when cutting on high edges. The row spacing is about 20cm, and the plant spacing is about15cm. The top of the root is flat or slightly lower than the ground 1 ~ 2cm, covered with plastic film for moisturizing and warming. After 15 ~ 20 days, the seedlings began to sprout, and the plastic film was removed in time, only 1 strong buds were left for each plant, and the rest were removed in time. At that time, saplings could grow to about 60 cm.
(3) Grafting propagation. As an oil tree species, grafting is adopted to raise seedlings. Bud grafting is carried out from August to September. Scions are collected from strong, high-quality and high-yield trees, and the seedlings of that year are used as rootstocks.
(4) Propagation by ramets. In spring, before the buds germinate, we should turn over the soil in the robust mother tree like Charlie, keep a certain distance from the trunk, moderately cut off the roots, and strengthen the water and fertilizer management of the mother tree. New seedlings can grow at the root cutting place in June and transplant in the next year.
