Japanese teriyaki is simply sweet and salty. Teriyaki (照り_き, てりやき, Teriyaki) is a well-known Japanese dish and cooking method. Teriyaki refers to the process of barbecuing meat with a generous coating of soy sauce, sugar, garlic, ginger and sake (or miso).

The method has been modified since its introduction to Europe and the United States to give it a lighter flavor, while teriyaki meat from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea has a heavier flavor. The teriyaki sauce used can be called teriyaki sauce or teriyaki sauce. Various meats are seasoned differently based on their texture and flavor. These are often used: sesame seeds, garlic puree, ginger puree, apple puree, pear puree, chili powder, mango sauce, pineapple sauce, kochuchan (Korean spicy miso) caraway oil, tea powder, and umeboshi puree.
