Stomach pain: insufficient stomach yin
Clinical manifestations: intermittent noise, dry mouth, no food or hunger, dry hands. Red tongue with little or no coating, thready pulse.

Etiology and pathogenesis: deficiency of stomach yin, loss of body fluid and endogenous heat.

Treatment: nourishing yin and stomach, promoting fluid production and moistening dryness.

Prescription: Yiwei decoction (theory of febrile diseases).

Drugs: Radix Glehniae 10~ 15g, Radix Ophiopogonis10 ~/5g, Radix Rehmanniae 10g, Polygonatum odoratum 10g, Radix Paeoniae Alba10 ~/kloc.
