How to Make Cornmeal Date Cake
1. Stir the yeast, sugar and milk powder into the water at about 30 degrees Celsius, then add the flour and cornmeal and stir to make a thick batter.
2. Pit and chop the dates.
3. Let the batter rise for 60 minutes. It is ready when there is a honeycomb inside.
4. Put the fermented batter into a steamer drawer.
5. Sprinkle dates on top.
6. Let rise for 20 minutes.
7. Put into the steamer and steam for 40 minutes on high heat.
