The general poisoning dose is 10 to 50 pills. Young children can cause white fruit poisoning by eating 5 to 10 grains of raw food. Fried or boiled white fruit is not easy to be poisoned.
Toxicity symptoms occur in 1 to 12 hours after eating white fruit, the first digestive symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite; followed by neurological symptoms such as restlessness, fear of screaming, convulsions and body straightening. Slight stimulation can cause convulsions. Later, the limbs gradually become weak and even paralyzed. In severe cases, dyspnea, pulmonary edema and coma occur. Contact dermatitis can occur in contact with the nucleus pulposus and fleshy outer skin.
