1. Tremella can generally be stored for two or three days, and can be stored for more than a week in winter.
2. Tremella can be kept fresh by drying. After drying, the fruiting bodies of Tremella can be stored for more than one year without affecting the taste and efficacy.
3. After harvesting the white fungus, place it gently in a container, use scissors to carefully dig out the black ear stems, then remove impurities and rinse them with clean water 1-2 times. It must be harvested and dried on the same day. Such products are white in color and of good quality. When drying, it is best to spread it on a bamboo curtain, turn it over frequently, and constantly organize the flower shape (broken ear pieces can also be added to the whole ear piece) to speed up drying and keep the flower shape beautiful. In case of rainy days, it should be dried in time. You can use fire wall or fire kang drying method, but use slow fire and do not exceed 56-60℃. Store dried white fungus in a sealed plastic bag to prevent moisture or insects.
4. When it is found that the Tremella fuciformis is mildly moldy during storage, it should be taken outside the warehouse in time, brushed with a dry brush to remove the mold spots, and then placed on a fire kang or under the hot sun to dry. If the mildew is severe, you can rinse it with salt water to wash away the mold and make it fresh before drying it.
5. Pests cannot be ignored during storage. They not only eat white fungus but also excrete dirt to contaminate the product, affecting the quality and appearance of the product.
6. Prevention and control methods are: sun exposure, baking, etc. When exposing or baking, turn it frequently to heat it evenly to achieve the purpose of complete insecticide. You can also stack the plastic bags containing Tremella on the cement floor under the scorching sun in hot weather, then cover it with a plastic film tent, press it tightly without leaving any gaps, and let it be exposed to the sun for several days to take advantage of the 70-80°C heat generated by the exposure. High temperature can not only kill pests, but also inhibit the growth of mold. In addition, chemical agents can also be used to kill warehouse pests and molds, but they must be used with special caution, strictly control the dosage, comply with relevant national regulations, and pay attention to safety.
