Wash the mango briefly

Place the mango upright on the counter and gently slice off the mango at the point where it is close to the core. Do the same on the other side, with the knife as close to the mango core as possible.
After all the slices are done, the mango will be divided into two slices of thick mango flesh and one slice of mango core.

Make a few horizontal cuts into the flesh of the mango, being careful not to use too much force, so as not to cut through the skin. Make a few more vertical cuts. All cuts are good.
