How to grow sweet potatoes
When planting sweet potatoes, turn over the soil and fertilize them, and then bury the seed potatoes in the sand to accelerate germination. After the seed potatoes germinate, they should be cut into small pieces, buried in the treated soil respectively, and then covered with a plastic film to keep warm. After the sweet potato germinates, the plastic film can be peeled off to provide nitrogen fertilizer for it.

How to grow sweet potatoes

1, soil preparation and fertilization

Sweet potato is suitable for growing in loose, breathable and nutritious soil. To plant sweet potatoes, soil with rich organic matter and good drainage should be selected, and the soil should be deeply turned and aired to eliminate bacteria, and then the decomposed farmyard manure should be buried in the soil.

2. Potato seed treatment

Before planting sweet potatoes, seed potatoes should be germinated, and seed potatoes with complete body, no disease and no injury should be selected and buried in warm and humid sand. After waiting for a week, the seed potatoes germinate, and then cut the seed potatoes into small pieces with a knife to ensure that there are two or three buds on each potato piece.

3. Planting

In the process of planting sweet potatoes, shallow ditches with row spacing of 30 cm should be dug in the soil, and then the processed potato pieces should be placed in the shallow ditches and covered with a layer of fine soil. If the ambient temperature is low, a plastic film should be covered on the soil surface to increase the soil temperature.

4, post-management

After the sweet potato germinates successfully, the plastic film should be peeled off to avoid the poor growth of the seedlings, and decomposed farmyard manure or nitrogen fertilizer should be applied to the sweet potato once to improve the growth speed of the seedlings. If the soil is white and cracked, water it to keep it moist.
