Morphological features
Sugarcane is an annual or perennial persistent rooted tropical and subtropical herb belonging to C4 crops. Culms are erect, robust and juicy, often covered with white powder. The leaves are alternate with small acute toothed margins and the flower spikes are in compound racemes.

Sugarcane has a wide range of adaptability to soil, with clay loam, loam and sandy loam soil being better. The soil pH value is 4.5~8.0, sugarcane can grow, but the soil pH value is 6.5~7.5 is suitable.
