Sand mixing ratio of traditional foundry sand.

The traditional casting I understand should be green sand casting, that is, clay sand.

Generally as follows:

Used sand: 95%

New sand: 1-5% (added amount when mixing sand)

Bentonite (clay): 1- 1.2% (added amount when sand is mixed)

Pulverized coal (FS powder): 0.7- 1% (added amount during sand mixing)

A certain amount of water should meet the requirements by adjusting the degree of compaction.

The used sand contains the following components: bentonite 7-9%, loss on ignition 3-6%, and water content 1-2%.
