The stems of water chestnut plants are mostly tufted, and the height is about 40- 100 cm. Eleocharis tuberosa belongs to underground bulb, which is relatively swollen, with purple-black skin and white meat, sweet and delicious taste and rich juice.
The growing environment of water chestnut:
Water chestnut is suitable for growing in sandy loam or humus loam with shallow soil layer and pH value of 6-7, and often grows in shallow water fields. Warm and humid, frost-resistant, need light. High temperature and long sunshine are needed in the early growth stage, and the illumination time needs to be shortened in the later growth stage.
