How to preserve cicadas?
The preservation method of cicada monkeys is relatively simple. In rural areas, it is usually packed in plastic bags, then a certain amount of water is added, and then the bags are tied up and put into the freezing layer of the freezer for freezing preservation.

However, before refrigeration, cicada monkeys need to be treated first. Rinse the cicada first, wash away the sediment and remove impurities. Then put the cicada monkey in a pot and boil it in water. The water is boiling, just boil for a few minutes. This is mainly to kill the virus for cicadas at high temperature.

Then take the cicada out to control the water. When the surface moisture is dry, sprinkle a small amount of edible salt and stir well. This salt also has bactericidal effect. After completely cooling, seal it in a fresh-keeping bag and put it in the refrigerator for freezing. Remember to add a proper amount of water to the bag so that it won't go bad for several months.

Cicada monkeys are actually very resistant to preservation. As long as it is handled properly, it will be fine for a year. The premise is that these cicadas have never been cut in the refrigerator, which means that cicadas have not been frozen, so they are edible.
