Yangchun, meaning the sun of the Desert Water, is like spring in all seasons. It is the southernmost karst terrain of the motherland, located in the southwestern part of Guangdong Province, in the middle and upper reaches of the Moyang River.

The city has a total area of 4,054.7 square kilometers, 104 kilometers long north-south, 91 kilometers wide east-west. It is the second largest county (city) in Guangdong Province, with a total population of 1.053 million people, 15 towns and 2 street offices under the jurisdiction of the municipal government resides in Chuncheng Street.
