Background of the composition
In September of 772 A.D. (the seventh year of the Tang Dynasty's Dali reign), Yan Zhenqing was appointed as the assassin of Huzhou, arriving at his post the following year. Zhang Zhihe drove his boat to pay a visit to him. In the late spring, when the peach blossom water was rising and the water of Mandarin fish was beautiful, they sang an impromptu chorus, and Zhang Zhihe sang the first song, composing five lyrics, of which this one is one.
"White herons fly in front of Xisai Mountain" first sentence, pointing out the location; this Xisai Mountain where? The first line of the poem "The white heron flies in front of Xisai Mountain" specifies the location; where is Xisai Mountain? Although there are objections, it does not matter to the context of the words. The egret is a symbol of freedom and idleness, "There is no such pattern in all the birds, but a body in the jade. The egret is a symbol of freedom and leisure. "The egret is like a Zen Buddhist monk, emaciated like a man who is trying to escape from the valley" and "The egret flies freely in the deserted rivers and lakes, dipping itself everywhere in the fishery" are written about the egret flying freely, which sets off the fisherman's leisure and contentedness.
The second line of "Peach Blossoms and Flowing Water, Mandarin Fish Fertility" points out the best season in the water towns of Jiangnan, when the peach blossoms are in full bloom, the river water rises sharply, and the Mandarin fish are fat. "The peach blossoms and the flowing water reflect each other, revealing the beautiful scenery in front of Mount Xisai in late spring, and rendering the living environment of the fishermen.
"Green Ruo hat, green straw raincoat, the wind and rain do not have to return" are written by them. "Ruo hat" is made of bamboo wire and green Ruo bamboo leaves woven hat. "Demoiselle" is a rain coat made of plant stems and leaves or skin. If it is made from Longshu Grass (Demoiselle), it is green in color. "Return", go home. "No need to return" means no need to go home either.
While the author only summarizes the fisherman's life of fishing in the words, readers can fully realize the meaning of the words through their own imagination. From the fisherman wearing an Ruo hat and a straw raincoat, enjoying the scenery of the spring water surface in the wind and rain, the reader can realize the fisherman's happy mood when he is catching fish.
