Sanda originated in Europe and was introduced from West Germany in China. After more than 20 years of systematic breeding, Heilongjiang Fisheries Research Institute has selected mirror carp breeding lines suitable for breeding in most areas of China. The most remarkable feature of this breeding line is that its cold resistance and disease resistance have been greatly improved compared with the original species. Due to the differences in scales and morphology, there are mainly scattered mirror carp, ring mirror carp and frame mirror carp.
