2. Click the "Start Menu" tab in the start menu properties;
3. Check "Store and display recently opened programs in the start menu" and "Store and display recently opened items in the start menu and taskbar" under privacy, click Apply, and then click "Customize". Set the number of recently opened programs to a number greater than 0. If it is set to 0 here, the open programs will not be displayed in the start menu.
If it still doesn't work, you can continue to follow the following steps.
4. Press the "Win+R" key combination to bring it up and run it, enter "gpedit.msc" in the box and press enter to open the "Local Group Policy Editor";
5. Expand User Configuration-Management Template-Start Menu and Taskbar once on the left side of the window;
6. Find "Delete all programs list from the start menu" on the right, double-click to open it, select "Not configured", click Apply and confirm.
