Goldeneye snapper originates mainly in New Zealand waters, followed by Japanese waters. It has large eyes and is also known as a big-eyed redfish, and its body color is a bright red.
The big-eyed snapper has large eyes and a short mouth with a large slit, and the reason for its large eyes is that fish living in water depths of less than 500 meters have large eyes because of the extremely low light there, otherwise they would not be able to see anything.
