Cardamom is not a tree.
Cardamom is not a tree, but a perennial herb of Alpinia of Zingiberaceae, with a plant height of up to 3 meters. It blooms from April to June every year, with white flowers and colored stripes radiating outward on the petals, which has high ornamental value and the fruit matures from May to August.
The maintenance method of cardamom is 1, and the soil is suitable.
When maintaining cardamom, we should choose fertile and loose soil with good drainage for planting. Before planting, the soil should be deeply ploughed, the clods and roots in the soil should be removed to make the plants grow better, and a proper amount of decomposed organic fertilizer should be added, so that the soil will be more fertile.
Step 2 apply fertilizer
Appropriate amount of fertilizer should be applied during the maintenance of cardamom. When the plant height is 15 ~ 20cm, sodium sulfate aqueous solution can be applied once, and the plant growth will be more vigorous. When cardamom blooms and bears fruit, a proper amount of compound fertilizer of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium should be applied, and calcium superphosphate aqueous solution can also be sprayed on the flowers.
3. Breeding method
Propagation can be carried out by planting propagation and ramet propagation, and sowing is generally carried out in early August and September every year. Before sowing, germination must be accelerated, seeds should be mixed with wet sand and kept at 30 ~ 35℃. Ramet propagation refers to planting with the roots of well-growing plants.
