What are the main points of chestnut planting management?
Chestnut should be transplanted in spring, and the root system should be damaged as little as possible when raising seedlings. The planting pits should be dug deeper, and 50 ~ 100 kg of decomposed compost should be applied to each pit. When planting, put the seedlings into holes, fill them with fine soil and step on them, and then water them for cultivation. After planting, erect the column, water it, water it 1 time every three days, and seal the soil to preserve moisture. Apply 1.5 ~ 2.5 kg of ammonium sulfate to mature trees that have begun to bear fruit before flowering in April and during chestnut development in July and August. Young trees need to be reshaped, properly equipped with main branches and side branches, and set up a good skeleton. Pruning fruit trees should be based on thinning branches, mostly before germination in spring.
