By industry, the retail sales of wholesale industry amounted to 53.76 million Yuan, an increase of 18.40% compared with 2008; the retail sales of retail industry amounted to 822.22 million Yuan, an increase of 17.44% compared with 2008; the retail sales of accommodation and catering industry amounted to 452.10 million Yuan, an increase of 26.86% compared with 2008; the retail sales of other industries amounted to 627.34 million Yuan, an increase of 14.64% compared with 2008. Among the retail sales of wholesale and retail trade above the quota, the retail sales of grain, oil and foodstuffs increased by 33.58% compared with 2008, clothing, shoes, hats and knitwear increased by 23.43% compared with 2008, sales of petroleum and products increased by 16.88% compared with 2008, daily necessities increased by 49.94% compared with 2008, and cosmetics decreased by 9.01% compared with 2008.

In 2009, the actual use of foreign direct investment in Jiejiang County amounted to 970,000 U.S. dollars. Total exports amounted to 4.95 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 28.57% over 2008.
