The college offers the majors of tourism management, tourism and service education, culinary nutrition and education, tourism and hotel services, catering management.

The College's tourism management program is a key development program in Heilongjiang Province, with the right to confer a master's degree in tourism management; it is one of the first teacher training bases for vocational and technical education identified by the Ministry of Education; and it is the only institution in China that can train vocational teachers for master's degree in culinary arts.

The Tourism Management Department of the College of Tourism Management was opened in 1989, is the earliest institution in Heilongjiang Province to set up a tourism management program, and one of the earliest institutions in the country to open a tourism management program, and is the first in Heilongjiang Province to hold the Hotel Management (Specialist), Tourism Management (Specialist) self-study examination institutions, and become the main examining institution.
