Wuzhou cheung chau island Civil Airport (ICAO：ZGWZ；; IATA：WUZ) was opened to navigation in July, 1995. It is located in cheung chau island, Wuzhou City, with an apron area of 7,511 square meters, a runway length of 1,811 meters and a width of 45 meters, which can meet the full-weight take-off and landing requirements of Boeing 737, and the flight zone level is 4C scale standard. Since its launch, the airport has opened flights from Wuzhou to Guilin, Nanning, Beihai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Haikou and Changsha.

History

The original Gaowang Airport was suspended in 1962. 1987-11-11 confirmed the current address. In February, 1991, Wuzhou cheung chau island Civil Airport started construction. The runway is a concrete building structure.

There are office buildings, air traffic control buildings, terminal buildings and guard buildings in the field, and there are three navigation stations in the field. Wuzhou Airport has an investment of 89 million yuan and existing assets of 11 million yuan.
