Site selection requirements

The State Environmental Protection Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission jointly issued the Notice on the Management of Environmental Impact Assessment of Power Generation Projects [UNCED [2006] No.82]. Clearly specify the specific requirements for the site selection of domestic waste incineration power generation projects, and stipulate that no new domestic waste incineration power generation projects shall be built in the following areas except areas where pollution projects are prohibited by national and local laws, standards and policies:
