Hiroshima is a large and medium-sized city in Japan. It's not prosperous if it's a big city, but it's a small city. It's been ruled by districts.
The only university in Hiroshima is Hiroshima University, which is a long distance away in East Hiroshima and in a ravine.
Hiroshima's economy is average, not as good as Kobe in Osaka. In August, I just went to lie in Hiroshima to play with my friends. Except that there is no traffic jam on the road, the price is cheaper than Tokyo, and the barbecue by the sea costs nothing, everything else is really average. The big shops are just those near Hiroshima Station, and there are no job advertisements.
After all, I haven't stayed in Hiroshima, and I don't know much about it. Is it just so-so? Except that beautiful houses by the sea are cheaper (compared with Tokyo), there is nothing else.
In terms of economy and prosperity, there is nothing like Tokyo. Not even Kobe or Osaka.
