Ningbo Planning and Design Institute was established in September, 1988. It is a self-supporting institution, affiliated to Ningbo Planning Bureau, and a design unit with Grade A planning and design qualification, Grade B municipal engineering design qualification and Grade B architectural design qualification. There are academic affairs office, general division office, office, planning and operation office, planning and design institute, planning and research institute, municipal engineering design institute, urban traffic research institute and architectural design institute. At present, there are nearly 100 employees, among which technicians with high and intermediate titles account for 25% and 34% of the total employees respectively, and 48% of them have registered professional qualifications. Since the establishment of our institute, more than 80 design achievements have won national, provincial and municipal excellent design awards, and have been rated as municipal civilized units and top ten survey and design institutes for many times, which has made great contributions to the urban construction and development of Ningbo.
