The Expo Axis is the main axis of the spatial landscape, people flow and traffic in the Expo Park, with a total length of about 1 1,000m and a width of about 1 1,654,38+00m. The Expo axis and underground complex project are located in the core of the Pudong Park of the Expo. In summer, river water source heat pump and ground source heat pump are used as cold and heat sources of air conditioning system, which saves the supplementary water of cooling tower; In winter, river water and geographical pipeline radiators are used as high-temperature heat sources or low-temperature heat sources of heat pump systems. Generally speaking, the cooling tower is replaced by river water source heat pump and ground source heat pump, and the air is replaced by river water. In summer, we send hot air to Huangpu River. In winter, it absorbs heat from the river. This air conditioning system helps to reduce the urban heat island effect.
The Expo Axis is the only project in the Expo Park that uses ground source heat pump technology to integrate air conditioning cold and heat source systems. According to preliminary calculation, the replacement rate of tap water in Expo Axis is over 50%, the operating cost is lower than that of conventional air conditioning system by over 20%, the cooling water saving rate of air conditioning is 100%, and the energy saving rate of natural ventilation in spring and autumn is over 50%.

When sunlight, air, rain and other elements from the sky are introduced into the underground space by these "open flowers", the Expo axis adds a bit of romance.
In addition to visual beauty, "Sunshine Valley" also contains an important scientific and technological concept-creating a comfortable "green underground space". It not only "collects" more than 40 meters of sunlight in the air to the ground, but also transports fresh air to the ground, which not only improves the sense of oppression in the underground space, but also realizes energy saving. In addition, rainwater can also flow into the storage ditch on the second floor of the underground along these wide-mouth vase-shaped glass curtain walls, and then remit to the 7000 cubic meters reservoir, and the water can be reused after treatment. These waters will satisfy the irrigation of the sunken gardens on both sides of the "Sunshine Valley" and can be used to flush toilets. It is estimated that through the collection of "Sunshine Valley", the domestic water consumption of the Expo Axis will be halved, saving 50,000 cubic meters of water.
Will it be very hot if the sun shines directly through the glass? The Expo axis will be cooled by spraying, natural wind, Huangpu River water source and ground source heat pump. To ensure that visitors can roam the Expo axis comfortably. In addition, the "membrane structure" of the Expo axis can also play a good shading effect. These "big umbrellas" overhead are assembled by 69 huge white film cloths, with a total area of 68,000 square meters and a service life of 30 years. Although the thickness is only 1mm, the design tension has reached the highest strength in the world: 5 tons per meter. The special feature of this film is that the maximum wind swing reaches 3 meters up and down. When the wind blows, the film cloth dances like a cloud.
The steel structure and membrane structure of "Sunshine Valley" are both rigid and flexible. This state-of-the-art technology endows the Expo Axis with "gentle" humanity. The six "sunshine valleys" have more than 1000 steel structure nodes, and each node has 4-6 poles intersecting, just like an open palm. Even if there is a little error in the splicing of these nodes, the upper part of the "morning glory" can't be sealed in the end, so the requirements for building accuracy are quite harsh and have world-class difficulty. However, with the successful construction of "Sunshine Valley", this difficult node technology was once again applied to the construction of a sluice in the Expo Park on the other side of Huangpu River.
The Expo axis is divided into two floors above ground and two floors underground. When you walk in this huge passage, the sun suddenly falls in front of you, and when you look up, it will be bright.
