Chongqing business vocational college, founded in 1962, is a full-time public institution of higher learning sponsored by Chongqing Municipal Government and founded by Municipal Commission of Commerce and Municipal Education. It is a high-quality vocational college and a high-level vocational school in Chongqing.

The school is a national training base for high-skilled talents, a training base for business talents in Chongqing, a training base for catering high-skilled talents in Chongqing, a vocational training base for printing and packaging in Chongqing, and a national training base for baking and western food projects in the World Skills Competition.

The school has two campuses, University Town and Nan 'an, covering an area of more than 790 mu. There are more than 700 faculty members, including 35% full-time teachers with senior titles, 75% master and doctoral students, 82% "double-qualified", with overseas study experience 10%, and more than 40 model workers, teaching masters, cooking masters and industry leaders at or above the provincial (ministerial) level.
