GB 77 18 General Rules for Labeling in prepackaged foods
Legal Analysis: This standard is applicable to prepackaged foods labels directly provided to consumers and prepackaged foods labels indirectly provided to consumers.

This standard does not apply to labels for food storage, transportation and packaging, and labels for bulk food and ready-to-eat and ready-to-eat food that provide protection for prepackaged foods during storage and transportation.

Legal basis: Basic requirements in Article 3 of GB 7718-2011.

3.6 No content with the function of preventing and treating diseases shall be marked or implied, and non-health food shall not express or imply the function of health care.

3.7 It should not be separated from food or its packaging (container).

3.8 Standard Chinese characters (except trademarks) should be used. All kinds of decorative artistic fonts should be written correctly and easily recognized.

3.8. 1 Pinyin or minority languages can be used at the same time, and the Pinyin shall not be larger than the corresponding Chinese characters.

3.8.2 Foreign languages can be used at the same time, but there should be a corresponding relationship with Chinese (except the trademark, manufacturer and address of imported food, name and address of foreign distributor and website). All foreign languages shall not be larger than the corresponding Chinese characters (except trademarks).

3.9 When the maximum surface area of a package or packaging container in prepackaged foods is greater than 35cm2 (see Appendix A for the calculation method of the maximum surface area), the height of characters, symbols and numbers in the mandatory labeling content shall not be less than1.8 mm. ..

3. 1 1 If the outer package is easy to open and identify, or all or part of the mandatory labeling contents on the inner package (container) can be clearly identified by the outer package, the corresponding contents may not be marked repeatedly on the outer package; Otherwise, all mandatory labels should be marked on the outer packaging as required.
