1.4529 is a super austenitic stainless steel with excellent chloride pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Its resistance to chloride pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion is better than that of 3 series stainless steel, and its cost is lower than that of corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloy. It shows good corrosion resistance in various harsh corrosive environments, is suitable for high chloride aqueous solution and chloride corrosive environment, and also has super corrosion resistance in harsh environments such as high temperature seawater or flue gas desulfurization devices. Under certain conditions, it has the same corrosion resistance as Hastelloy and pure titanium, and is close to that of other corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys such as C-276, with obvious cost advantage.
