Xiaogan South Station will change the status quo that there is no 350-speed high-speed railway station in Xiaogan urban area after it is completed and opened to traffic, and the people of Xiaogan will be able to reach the cities along the high-speed railway lines such as Beijing-Guangzhou, Yanjiang, Zhengzhou-Chongqing, Lanzhou-Xi'anxi, Wuhan-Hangzhou, and Beijing-Kowloon directly through Xiaogan South Station.

By the end of 2020, Mao Chen station upgraded to Xiaogan South Station high-speed rail station, Mao Chen station will be connected with Xiaogan city for the official bidding of the project.
