Due to the busy business, it is not uncommon for couriers and take-away delivery personnel to drive electric tricycles and electric bicycles for speeding and violating regulations, which brings certain security risks to other traffic participants and causes some disputes.

According to the circular issued by Beijing No.2 Intermediate People's Court yesterday, in recent years, express delivery and take-away vehicles violate the rules frequently, which leads to an upward trend of accidents and disputes. As a result, express delivery and take-away companies are mostly responsible.

It is reported that Beijing No.2 Intermediate People's Court conducted a special investigation on the infringement disputes of express delivery vehicles and take-away vehicles concluded in recent four years. From 2114 to October 2117, the No.2 Intermediate People's Court and the courts in its jurisdiction concluded 38 cases of infringement disputes of express delivery electric tricycles and 13 cases of infringement of take-away electric bicycles, both of which showed an upward trend in terms of the number of cases concluded each year.

according to statistics, this kind of cases mainly include: accidents of express delivery vehicles and take-away vehicles with electric cars, bicycles, mopeds and pedestrians driving on the road, resulting in personal injuries; traffic accidents caused by collision of express delivery vehicles and take-away vehicles with motor vehicles driving or parked on the road; disputes between express delivery vehicles and electric cars, bicycles or motor vehicles and pedestrians driving on the road due to overtaking and road grabbing, and random parking in empty parking spaces, resulting in residents' inability to park normally.
