James C. Collins, who runs his own management education and consulting firm in Palo Rivero, California, is the coauthor of Beyond Entrepreneurship.He joined the faculty of Stanford University's Graduate School of Business in 1988, where he was awarded the faculty's Distinguished Teaching Award. Previously he worked at McKinsey & Company and Hewlett-Packard.
Jerry I. Porras is the Fred H. Merrill Professor of Organizational Behavior and Change at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is the author of the book Streaming Analysis and is one of the inventors of the streaming analysis computer software used to detect organizational change. He also leads Stanford University's management program in organizational change.
