The catering department consists of nine departments, namely, abalone wings, elegant room, banquet hall, breakfast department, hot pot hall, glutinous rice porridge, bar, food delivery department and front desk reception. There are nine of us in different departments, which rotate once every two days. This will give us a more comprehensive understanding of the service and management of the entire catering industry, which is also the purpose of our coming here.
We have experienced it personally from setting the table, folding the cloth, passing the food, serving the food, serving during the meal, and withdrawing the table. At first, we felt that we were doing badly, and we couldn't stand it. We were always a little clumsy in doing things. Slowly, the work got started, and it got smoother and smoother, but I think I can do better. All the staff were very enthusiastic about us, took pains to help me, and told me the contents, precautions and working procedures of the work. Giving their work experience to each other without reservation made me feel the warmth of the team. It is difficult to apply the theoretical knowledge learned before to practice at the beginning. Through the guidance of the masters, theory and practice are combined, and after a period of time, customer service is much easier. In the spare time, the supervisors ask for advice on the experience of managing employees, and all the supervisors also have questions and answers.
I still have a lot to learn about catering. I should learn to observe, do a good job in service, be careful, thoughtful and timely in service, understand the needs of guests, do a good job in personalized service for frequent customers, know their preferences, try my best to satisfy them, and make the service one step ahead of time to make guests feel at home.
Half a month has passed. During this half a month, I feel that I have completely become a part of the hotel, and I have a deep affection for the hotel and a deep friendship with my colleagues who work together.
