Article 2 According to the characteristics of construction projects and the environmental sensitivity of the region where they are located, the environmental impact assessment of construction projects shall be managed in a classified manner by comprehensively considering the possible environmental impacts of construction projects.

(3) areas with residence, medical and health care, culture and education, scientific research and administrative office as their main functions, and cultural relics protection units. Article 4 The construction unit shall determine the environmental impact assessment categories of construction projects in strict accordance with this Catalogue, and shall not change the environmental impact assessment categories without authorization.

Article 5 The environmental impact assessment category of cross-industry and compound construction projects shall be determined according to the highest single level. Article 6 For construction projects not specified in this Catalogue, the category of environmental impact assessment shall be put forward by the provincial competent department of ecological environment according to the pollution factors and characteristics of ecological impact factors of the construction projects and the sensitive nature and degree of the environment in which they are located, and reported to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment for confirmation. Article 7 This Catalogue shall be interpreted by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and revised and published in due course. Article 8 This Catalogue shall come into force as of September 1, 2117. On April 9, 2115, the original Catalogue of Classified Management of Environmental Impact Assessment of Construction Projects (Order No.33 of the Ministry of Environmental Protection) was abolished at the same time.
