What is the reason why the pressure reducing valve of the kitchen treasure water heater has been leaking?
The pressure relief valve provided by professional electric water heater manufacturers is actually a safety valve with check function. When the tap water is cut off, the water in the water heater will not flow back into the tap water pipeline. When the pressure of water in the water heater is too high compared with the tap water pressure, it will flow back to the tap water until the pressure in the inner container keeps a stable value. However, if the water pressure is too high, the pressure will be released from the pressure relief port to protect the liner from overpressure and damage.

If the safety valve drips from heat, there are two possibilities: first, the pressure relief value of the safety valve is small, so it can be replaced with a larger one, but it cannot be higher than 1.05 times the rated pressure of the water heater. Second, the tap water pressure is too high. At this time, the hose can be connected to the pressure relief port and led to the floor drain. Do not block the pressure relief port when the safety valve drips water, otherwise it may be damaged due to excessive pressure in the liner.

Another solution is to open the water outlet. The water outlet has a stainless steel inner tube. Taking it out and removing 10~20mm from it can also solve the problem of dripping when heating. However, if the disassembly length is too long, the effective capacity of the water heater will be reduced. If you have more questions, you can click the ID for consultation.
