1.) First, prepare a screwdriver to open the notebook (generally, you can use a cross screwdriver or a flat screwdriver).
2.) Prepare some alcohol and small brushes, sanitary napkins or gauze.
2.) Prepare a hair dryer.
4.) It is best to prepare CPU heat dissipation silicone and some roller skating oil.
Let's get into the core operation of how to clean the dust on the laptop:
One: Some precautions before disassembling the machine.
1.) Before disassembling the notebook, you should first discharge the static electricity on your body. Professionals can wear wristbands, and it doesn't matter if the average user doesn't have them. You can also wash your hands and get rid of any static electricity you may have.
2.) Before disassembling the notebook, be sure to take out the battery of the notebook and unplug the external power supply to avoid accidentally short-circuiting and burning the notebook.
It should be noted that the clean notebook introduced here needs to be disassembled. If the notebook is still under warranty, friends are not advised to clean the dust. Generally, notebooks are used for a short time and do not need to be cleaned up. Therefore, it is only recommended for old notebook users who have passed the warranty period.
Two: the core steps of notebook dust cleaning
1.) Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws at the back of the radiator module on the back of the notebook (it is recommended that you bring a box to put the screws so as not to lose them).
Note: It is only recommended to clean the notebook CPU processor and graphics card radiator module, because this is the place with the largest heat dissipation and the easiest place to get dust, and other areas such as hard disk will generally be fine. Many friends may say that they can't find the location of the CPU cooling module. In fact, as long as we find the location of the laptop cooling air outlet, we can know the location of the CPU cooling module.
2.) Disassemble the case of the notebook CPU radiator module. Generally, after the notebook with a long use time removes the radiator cover, it can be clearly seen that thick dust accumulates in the fan during the internal heat dissipation. These dust will greatly affect the heat dissipation efficiency of the notebook. First, remove the heat pipe, heat sink and fan with a screwdriver. Clean the notebook. Generally, notebooks with less dust can only remove the notebook cooling fan.
3.) When all the screws of the radiator fan are removed, first, we carefully pull out the power 4PIN connector of the radiator fan.
After unplugging the 4-pin power plug of the radiator, you can carefully take out the radiator fan. Then you can start cleaning up some dust inside.
As shown in the above figure, first, use a sponge or sanitary towel to dip a small amount of alcohol to clean up all the dust under the radiator of the notebook. It should be noted that the central core part shown in the above picture is the processor, so be careful when cleaning. Conditional users suggest to clean all the original silica gel, and then add new heat dissipation silica gel after cleaning. After the above operations are completed, we will start to clean the removed cooling fans and fins with a small brush and cotton cloth.
In addition, the heat sink of general notebook is made of copper and does not rust. If the cleaning is not very clean, you can take it to the tap water pipe for washing or scrubbing.
4.) After the copper tube and heat sink are cleaned, it is difficult to clean the next cooling fan. First, remove the housing of the cooling fan. If it is not easy to disassemble the notebook, you can eat the dust inside with a hair dryer. Generally speaking, the cooling fan can be cleaned with a brush. If you have engine oil on hand, you can also remove the fan blades and add some engine oil for lubrication. The effect is better.
After the CPU cooling fan is cleaned, the dust cleaning of the main cooling module will soon end, and the rest is to replace the cooling silicone grease. The old one has obviously become dry and hard, so clean it decisively and replace it with a new one. If it is not replaced, the dust removal effect will not be great. It is strongly recommended to replace the CPU heat dissipation silica gel again. You can buy it in the computer city, usually a few dollars.
It should be noted that the old silicone grease does not need to be thoroughly cleaned, because some of it has been stuck too tightly and it is difficult to be thoroughly cleaned. Generally, it is almost enough, and more is more. Isn't it troublesome to shake hands? Just stop here.
