With unique design, the hotel is the first all-steel building in China, with a building height of153.6m. The main building is octagonal with 42 floors above ground. It has successively won "Top Ten New Scenery in Shanghai in the 1990s" and "Top Ten Classic Buildings in Shanghai in the Fifty Years of New China". Located on the 4 1 floor, the revolving restaurant used to be the largest revolving restaurant in the Far East, and it was also a famous place to watch the urban landscape in the center of Shanghai.
