1. As a new resource food, genetically modified food must be approved by the Ministry of Health before it can be produced or imported. Genetically modified foods that have not been examined and approved by the Ministry of Health shall not be produced, imported or used as food or food raw materials;
2. The refrigerator for storing food samples should be dedicated, and there should be a special person in charge. Food samples shall be stored separately according to the varieties, cleaned and disinfected, and then put into sealed special containers, and the storage time shall not exceed 48 hours. The number of samples of each variety should meet the inspection needs, and records should be made.
Genetically modified foods are processed or eaten fresh from genetically modified organisms. According to the source of raw materials, it can be divided into plant-derived genetically modified foods, animal-derived genetically modified foods and microbial-derived genetically modified foods. For example, soybean oil, tofu, soy sauce and other bean products made of genetically modified soybeans, genetically modified fresh papaya and cheese produced by genetically modified microorganisms are all genetically modified foods.
