In 2000, rainbow trout was introduced to Jiangle County, Sanming City for trial planting, and the first battle was successful, and a set of breeding techniques were groped and summarized. This beneficial attempt has attracted great attention of Sanming Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. Relevant leaders visited rainbow trout culture site for many times to understand the situation and coordinate to solve the problems of land, water and electricity in rainbow trout culture. In May last year, the municipal government held a special on-the-spot meeting attended by the leaders in charge of the county and district governments and the director of the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Bureau, and planned and deployed the large-scale and industrialized development of rainbow trout breeding and processing.
According to experts, foreign natural rainbow trout live in cold areas, and there is basically no distribution in China. China began to try to cultivate rainbow trout in the north in 1950s, and Dawson rainbow trout was introduced from America for commercial cultivation only after 1985. It is a new subject to cultivate rainbow trout in the south. Because rainbow trout has strict requirements on breeding conditions and technology, it requires owners to have certain economic strength and technical support, and blind development is not allowed. In order to serve farmers, the Municipal Bureau of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries organized aquatic technical cadres to go deep into the grass roots, and instructed qualified owners to adjust the breeding structure in time and raise rainbow trout instead. At the same time, a rainbow trout breeding technical service team headed by a senior engineer was set up to overcome the technical problems of breeding, train professional farmers and provide technical services. It also invested 500,000 yuan to build a rainbow trout fry farm, and built a sterile incubation room, a nursery pond, a cultivation pond and supporting facilities to ensure the supply of high-quality fry. Perfect service has promoted the rapid development of rainbow trout culture in our city. At present, Sanming City has formed three farming modes: mountain stream farming, underground cold spring farming and reservoir drainage farming. There are 7 rainbow trout breeding sites 17, with a breeding area of 5,000 square meters, more than 400,000 fry and 200 tons of commercial fish, which will be listed one after another during the New Year's Day and the Spring Festival this year.
On the eve of the Spring Festival, Sanming City held a rainbow trout promotion tasting meeting in Fuzhou, the provincial capital, which attracted the attention of the press and catering industry. At the meeting, Yang, deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, said that Sanming City has developed 7 1 site with an area of 170 mu, which can cultivate 4 million rainbow trout. He said that Sanming City will continue to make use of mountain streams and cold spring water resources, vigorously develop cold-water fish breeding such as rainbow trout, further improve the seedling breeding system, disease prevention system, technical service system and product processing and marketing system, study and popularize new breeding technologies and models, and establish a cold-water fish breeding base in southern Sanming. In 2003, rainbow trout10,000,000 will be cultured, and the output of adult fish will be 500 tons. At the same time, it will also develop and cultivate cold-water fish such as Pacific salmon and sturgeon.
