1. British service
British service is also called "Family Style Service" because it is similar to European and American family dining methods. The dishes are prepared in the kitchen, loaded into large plates and brought to the restaurant, and placed in front of the host. If it is a large barbecue, it should be cut by the waiter according to the number of people. First, put the hot plate for each guest from the right, and then pick up the plate (put the service fork and spoon on it). According to the principle of women first, men first and guests first, guests will help themselves with the service fork and spoon in turn. Vegetables and seasonings are placed on the dining table and handed by the guests.
2 American service
American service is called "Plate Service" because all dishes are served separately in the kitchen. The service method is as follows: all dishes are cooked in the kitchen and decorated separately. The plates should be heated in advance, and the main course should be covered with heat preservation. The waiter will take them to the restaurant and deliver them to each guest from the left side of the guest in turn with his left hand. After the dishes are served, the heat preservation cover will be removed. If guests at a table order different dishes, they should be served separately according to the degree of eating. The dishes are served from the left, and the alcoholic drinks are poured from the right of the guests. American service is often used in coffee shops because of its simplicity and convenience.
