Geely University is an independent full-time private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. The school was founded in Beijing on 1999 by Geely Holding Group, a fortune 500 company. In 20 14, the school was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed Beijing Geely University.
The school actively responded to the call of the CPC Central Committee and worked hard to implement the strategy of coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and resolving non-capital core functions. With the strong support of the Ministry of Education, Beijing, Sichuan, Chengdu and other governments and competent departments, it is decided to move to Chengdu, and Geely University (Chengdu) campus will enroll students in the autumn of 2020.
