Gansu is one of the cradles of Buddhism in China and the center of Silk Road culture. From Buddhism in the East to Xuanzang in the West, they all left their historical footprints on the land of Long Yuan. Due to these unusual reasons, Buddhist belief and culture have a special influence in Gansu. Both the Dunhuang Grottoes, which are regarded as the treasures of world culture and art, and the famous Maijishan Grottoes in Tianshui are the brilliant testimony of Buddhism in Gansu.

Hoonji is located in Shajingyi, Anning District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, with its back to Phoenix Mountain and facing the Yellow River. Founded in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the founder of all previous dynasties, a monk, had numerous degrees, but it was unfortunately destroyed by the Cultural Revolution after years of indifference. Since the reform and opening up, the country's economic development, social stability, people live and work in peace and contentment, religious policies have been fully implemented, and the revival of ancient temples is imminent.

At the beginning of 1997, at the sincere invitation of four disciples of Buddhism in Lanzhou, Master Pu Zheng accepted it and became the abbot of Hongzhi. He is compassionate and determined to revive the country. On the basis of the original grass temple, he presided over the restoration of the temple and was officially approved by the government as a place for religious activities. Under the leadership of the local party and government, with the care and support of the provincial and municipal Buddhist associations and the strong support of the four Buddhist disciples, Master Puzheng led his disciples to make great efforts to govern, and it took several years to take shape. The Buddhist temple of Hongzhi Temple was completed for the second time, resplendent and magnificent, with the wisdom lamp burning constantly, the dharma pulse continuous, various dharma meetings held one after another, the dharma was prosperous, the sea was peaceful, the Buddha statue was solemn, and the Dojo was achieved.

1July, 997, Hoonji welcomed a white jade Siddhartha Gautama from Myanmar. Many wizards and thousands of believers in Lanzhou took an active part in the welcoming ceremony. Rong Kai, vice president of the Provincial Buddhist Association, president of the Lanzhou Buddhist Association and abbot of Junyuan Temple in Wuquan Mountain, presided over the Dharma. The main leaders of the provincial and municipal religious affairs bureaus and Anning District were invited to attend the Fa Conference, and the auspicious appearance appeared and the auspicious light shone.

On July 30th, 2000, the foundation stone laying ceremony of Hongji Daxiong Hall was held ceremoniously. The abbot of Junyuan Temple in Wuquan Mountain, Lanzhou turned into an old monk, the abbot of Haicang Temple in Wuwei, and the abbot of Huayan Temple in Wushan, Miao Da, the same as the old monk. Leaders of religious authorities at all levels laid the foundation stone and witnessed history. Thousands of believers from all over Beijing, Shaanxi and Gansu attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

With the compassion of the Three Treasures, all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas were covered. With the construction of the Hall of Great Heroes, many dharma protectors are pious, giving alms, gathering sand into towers, and assisting the ceremony. The Hall of the Great Hero and the icons of buddhas and bodhisattvas in the Hall were completed for the second time, and two monasteries were also built. In the process of building the temple, with the full support of the masters and the four great believers, all the staff of the temple management Committee worked with one heart and one mind. Under the leadership of Master Pu, Master Hong Chuan in the prison specifically assisted the temple affairs, and Zhang, Yu Shudong, Zhang Shiqian, Zhang Song Village, Wang Shiqian and other laymen were pious in protecting the law, regardless of remuneration, regardless of the heat and cold, and helped manage the temple affairs.

On August 7, 2004, Hongzhi held a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Ursa Major Hall and the opening of the Buddha statue. Qi, deputy director of Gansu Provincial Bureau of Religious Affairs, Zhang Shuju, deputy director of Lanzhou Municipal Bureau of Religious Affairs, head of Anning District People's Government, Li Kerong, deputy head of Anning District Government Office, Lu Dezhen, director, and Ma, head of the ethnic and religious department of Anning District, and other leaders attended the meeting. Zheng Cheng, rational vice president and secretary-general of the Provincial Buddhist Association, Adan, deputy secretary-general, and vice-president of the Municipal Buddhist Association were present to guide the Dharma, and monks from more than 40 temples across the country presided over the Dharma. Thousands of believers and guests from Gansu, Beijing, Shaanxi and other places attended the ceremony, and Buddhist believers from Korea, Thailand, Singapore and other places made a special trip to attend the celebration. Baoen Hall in Fenghuang Mountain, Lanzhou faces the Yellow River, with Fenghuang Mountain in the north and Hunhe River in the east. It is located in Shajinggang and enjoys a unique geographical position. In this project, the original storage room of Shajing No.1 Village belongs to forest land, which has been completely transformed and renovated, and a three-dimensional ashes storage point has been built to provide ashes storage services for Lanzhou urban residents, to pay homage to their ancestors and to place their grief.

At the beginning of the project, Lanzhou Phoenix Mountain Funeral Service Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement with Shajing Village Committee as the main investor, and started the project design and construction.

The Baoentang project of Phoenix Mountain in Lanzhou City is expected to invest 300 million yuan, covering an area of nearly 47 190 square meters, with a construction area of 14963 square meters, including the cinerary hall on the ground floor. The second floor on the ground is the worship hall; The podium on both sides is the office, reception room, activity room, reception hall and kitchen, small restaurant, drum tower, bell tower and observation room.
